A word from the owner
I am a graduate of Mount Royal University from the Personal Fitness Training program and I have been blessed with a whirlwind journey in my career that has brought me to where I am today.
I’ve had the distinct pleasure of working with elite athletes, adaptive clients from neurological trauma and or afflictions. I’ve trained cases from obesity to physique, and the regular Joe’s and Jill’s that simply just want to stay fit so that they can continue leading long and healthy lives.
This company was founded in 2019 by my mentor Franco Gomez, we worked together for two years where he passed his expertise down to me. I ran the 2022 season as manager of the company and became the owner in 2023, I am excited and honored to keep this company and the wonderful service it provides going and excited to continue to grow our amazing community!
After our city’s Covid-19 back and forth lockdowns, HSA is back, a new look, a new website, and with enough research to fulfill the needs of this growing community. I’m here not just to provide instruction or guidance on specific sports, but also to inspire, motivate and help children find their creativity and confidence in a wonderful and encouraging social environment.
I look forward to growing the HomeSchool Sports Academy so that it can become “The” physical education class for the homeschool community.

OUR journey
The HomeSchool Sports Academy journey began serendipitously when I moved training facility into our new location at Accurate Fieldhouse. I found myself in a quiet gym looking out towards 2 large empty indoor fields. I thought to myself, “what could I start here that will help a particular community?”
One day it hit me! I picked up the phone and called a very good friend of mine who he himself has 5 children being homeschooled. I asked him what he thought about me starting a physical education class specific to the homeschool community; his excitement said it all!
I told myself that I wanted to solve 3 problems I see exist for this community.
Because of the large numbers in many homeschool families, I wanted to take a range of ages at the same time. Also with our large numbers I am able to separate them into closer age groups so that the learning curve is not so steep.
I want to teach a specific physical education training program that emphasizes on sports learning like I had growing up, combined with a fun fitness education; and, I can do all of this in our very large indoor facility.
Last but not least, I wanted to create a one-stop shop of sports learning year-round with many sports to start and with many more to come.
After some communication with the community I was able to set up my first class which was Ultimate Frisbee for 6-weeks, and what fun it was! Fantastic feedback and a great bunch of kids of all ages playing and learning together. I’m proud to say the HomeSchool Sports Academy was born from an idea and has led to my newest labour of love.
